Re-Opening of Cayucos Pier w/ Makana

CayucosPierRibbon

The pin on the map known as America’s Coolest Small Town is closing out their Fall Concert Series October 31st with the cut of a ribbon and a strum of a guitar. The pier, which was almost torn down then saved by community support and fundraising, will have its ribbon cutting ceremony and reopen to the public at noon on Saturday. In celebration of the pier and beach town a colorful presentation about the pier’s and town’s history, as well as future, will take place Friday night in the Cayucos School Auditorium followed by a Q&A session open to the public. After the ribbon cutting on Saturday, attendees are invited to dig your toes in the sand or walk the pier planks while enjoying beer, wine, food and listen to the wonderful tunes of Makana. A world-renowned slack-key guitarist, Makana hails from Hawaii and is bringing the island feel and flows here to our local coastline.

Pier Presentation — Friday, Oct 30th 7-8pm  |  Pier Ribbon Cutting — Saturday at Noon  |  Music by Makana — Saturday 1-5pm
